Mothwing Podfic Project

What is this project?

Mothwing is a deeply beloved character within the Warriors fandom for her intricate characterization throughout the series (strongly centering around her atheistic beliefs and later distrust of their religion). During the release of A Starless Clan, the 8th arc in the Warrios series, many people speculated the main plot surrounding RiverClan's leader would end with Mothwing fullfilling the role. While this fanfiction did not end up aligning with canon, it still was a concept many people adored. The aim of this project is to bring this idea to even more life and provide an audio reading of it for people to enjoy and listen to, with another goal of shining more light onto just how complex and fascinating Mothwing can be as a character. As it stands in production, it is set to release sometime before Christmas.The completed project will be posted to Youtube, Soundcloud, and Ao3.

Story synopsis

Set in the world of Warriors abridging the 6th book in the arc of A Starless Clan, the central plot around the leaderless status of RiverClan finally comes to an end when Frostpaw declares Mothwing as their leader. For seasons, Mothwing has served as RiverClan’s medicine cat, one that originally did not believe in StarClan and even after their existence is proven to her still distrusts them. Because of this, she goes through the many emotions that follow her facing her past, present, and her concept of the future.Link to the posted fanfic

Head director and author of the original fanfiction. Not my first fandom project/event (most of it has been in The Owl House fandom), including Love Grows (an unfinished fan episode), which I wrote scripts for, and the Raeda Fankid Minibang which I modded for. Mothwing is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE I adore her character so much, both because I find her deeply intriguing and also because I relate to her. If you ask me my opinion on Mothstar I will never give you a straightforward 'yay!' or 'no!' answer. I am so excited to be directing a project like this and can't wait to see what comes of it!
